Annie Murphy, aka Anne Frances Murphy was born at 19th of December 1986. Her country of birth is Canada. She has done several movies in Hollywood. She was the lead character Alexis Rose for the CBC comedy television series Schitt's Trail, which started in 2015 until 2020. Her character got praise from critics and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award. Her birthplace was in the city of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. Her parents both worked as teachers. Elmwood School was her first option in Ottawa and where she took part in numerous stage shows. After that, she attended Concordia University from where she obtained a degree in theater performance. After that, she took courses at the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory in which she studied acting. In Los Angeles she devoted herself to acting. In 2007 Annie Murphy started off her acting career and made her debut through the TV drama Lethal Obsession. After that, she performed in a variety of films, either as an extra or in small roles. Certain films of hers are very acclamated and include Story of Jen from 2008 Lick (2010) and A Windigo Tale. Additionally, she appeared in Canadian television shows such as Good God aired on 2012 Rookie Blue aired that same year. The actress has demonstrated she is able to work on many different acting projects. Annie's professional career started out as a struggle for her. She had a difficult time proving her abilities and getting noticed. Her memorable performances have made her an international star in the film and entertainment industry.
