Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. Following that, she performed on Broadway in various productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner became big in the National Theatre. In the year 1957, she launched her first album of music called It's time for Tina. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. It received wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway as well as Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as contrast to her image of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also earned a name for herself as an accomplished director on various well-known television shows including Supernatural or The 100. She was birthed in Essex August 28th, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto for her early years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the role of lead.
